Senior Software Engineer – Frontend (Consumer)

Kraken — one of the world's longest-standing and most trusted crypto exchanges, founded in 2011, serving 10 million+ individuals and institutions globally with spot trading, margin, futures, staking, and OTC services — is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for its Consumer team, working fully remotely from the UK, Brazil, Canada, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Ireland, Lithuania, Mexico, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, or the UAE. The Consumer team owns the Kraken app experience — the product that turns someone's first crypto curiosity into a long-term relationship with Kraken. You'll design, develop, and maintain high-quality consumer-facing features across web (React, Next.js App Router) and mobile (React Native), drive A/B testing and experimentation strategies, partner with Product, Design, Data, and Mobile engineering to create coherent experiences, and maintain expert opinions on framework and architecture choices (TanStack Router vs Next.js App Router, state management patterns, concurrent React features). Kraken explicitly requires an active AI-assisted development workflow — Cursor, Claude Code, Copilot, or equivalent — with the engineering rigour to review and own what gets produced. 6+ years of professional software development experience with strong focus on consumer-facing web and/or mobile required.
