Checkly
Checkly is a remote-first, async-first DevTools SaaS company that gives developers and their AI agents the tools to own reliability the way they own their code: end-to-end tests and synthetic monitoring defined as code, powered by OpenTelemetry and Playwright, versioned and reviewed like everything else they ship. Thousands of teams, from AI companies like Mistral and resolve.ai to large engineering organizations like LinkedIn, Citi and 1Password, build with Checkly, which raised a 20 million dollar Series B from Balderton, CRV and Accel. This is a fully remote Senior Product Engineer role open to anyone located within the UTC-3 to UTC+3 time zones, working 32 to 40 hours per week. You will build reliability tooling for a new generation of AI-native software where LLM-backed features fail probabilistically and agents take actions no runbook anticipated. The stack is AI coding tools (Codex, Claude, your choice), Vue.js, TypeScript, Node.js, Golang, Postgres, ClickHouse and AWS, shipping to production all day, every day. Checkly is lean and low on meetings: there is no separate QA team or ops layer, everyone takes part in the weekly support rotation and on-call, and decisions happen in documents and threads rather than meetings. Pay is transparent and set by a standardized salary calculator: 88,000 to 105,000 EUR for someone in a similar cost-of-market as the UK or Germany, or 79,000 to 97,000 EUR for someone in a similar cost-of-market as Spain, Poland or Ukraine, plus stock options. Benefits include 27 days of paid vacation plus local public holidays, paid sick leave, up to 14 weeks of paid parental leave, a co-working budget or home office setup, annual company kickoffs, and both employee and contractor options.

Build and ship full-stack features with AI coding agents, from exploring solutions and generating scaffolding to refactoring, test generation and debugging. Talk directly to the developers, DevOps and SRE teams who use Checkly to understand their workflows and pain points, and use those conversations to validate ideas and course-correct early; customer calls and the weekly support rotation are part of the job. Focus on real developer pain such as flaky tests and checks, unclear failures and noisy alerts, favouring pragmatic solutions that ship quickly and validate assumptions in production. Own your work end to end, from shaping the initial idea through implementation and rollout to watching how it behaves in production, and take part in on-call and customer support when things do not work as expected.
You have shipped features with AI, not just experimented with them, taking work from zero to shipped on a comparable stack and putting it in front of real users. You have built and run production software and understand edge cases, incidents, regressions and the need for observability and follow-up. You can hold a product conversation as well as a technical one and reason about whether what you are about to build actually solves the customer problem. You are autonomous and self-motivated in a remote, async-first setup. This is a fully remote role within the UTC-3 to UTC+3 time zones, and you need to be able to travel to other European countries without waiting for a visa appointment for the annual kickoff, team meetups or conferences. Checkly uses AI for everything and is explicit that AI skepticism is not a fit.
