Hostel Work Exchange Volunteer

Benjamin's family-run hostel in Birkirkara, Central Malta, is hosting Worldpackers volunteers.

You will work 25 hours per week: daily cleaning of bathrooms and common areas, changing bedding in the dorms, laundry, dog care, greeting guests, and occasional night shifts.

In exchange, you get a shared dorm bed (with up to four other volunteers), kitchen access, free laundry facilities, high-speed internet, a dedicated workspace, and two days off per week.

Key requirements: intermediate English proficiency, ages 18-30, and -- notably -- the host requires a European Union passport for this position. Minimum stay is 2 weeks, maximum 4 weeks. Solo travelers, couples, and volunteer pairs are all accepted.

Flights, travel insurance, internal transportation, and visa costs are not included. This is an unpaid work exchange (room and use of kitchen only) -- not a paid job, and the EU-passport requirement means it is not open to all nationalities; non-EU-passport holders should look elsewhere on this board.
