Snow Schoolers, an independent ski school focused on affordable family lessons in Tahoe and Colorado, is hiring Snowsports Instructors for the winter season starting December 1, 2026. Beginner lessons are based at Granlibakken Tahoe in Tahoe City, California, with a second location in Frisco, Colorado; applicants state whether they want Tahoe, Colorado, or both. Pay is 22 to 40 dollars per hour plus tips, which instructors keep in full: 22 dollars for not yet certified, 24 for PSIA-AASI Level 1, and 28 for Level 2 and supervisors, with bonuses for young children, private requests and large groups. Run safe beginner ski and snowboard lessons in varying conditions, arrive early so you are ready at shift start, teach to PSIA-AASI standards, give clear feedback to students, help resolve customer issues, and encourage repeat bookings. Much of the work is with children and families.
Legal right to work in the USA. Previous teaching experience is required, in or outside the ski industry. First-year instructors must complete PSIA-AASI Level 1 certification during the season; PSIA-AASI or equivalent certification is preferred. Enjoys teaching, especially children.
