Woodward Copper Action Sports Coach Level 1 - Winter 2026/27 (Copper Mountain Resort / POWDR, Colorado - Employee Housing)

Demonstrate zone coaching through safe spotting, technique and progression in all areas of the Barn facility. Participate in coach training on progression-based teaching for trampolines, skatelite, foam pits, ramps and features. Oversee participants to ensure safety standards and proper skill progressions. Create a safe and fun environment and act as a role model for participants, guests and co-workers. Perform daily routine maintenance including cleaning, daily and weekly equipment inspections, snow removal and manual tasks, and assist with facility and equipment repair. Handle front-desk operations, Barn bookings, private lessons, birthday parties and product sales in the resort systems, and answer Woodward phone calls professionally. Know injury-reporting protocols. Communicate effectively with coaches, kids, teens, parents and adults, and resolve guest complaints professionally.

At least 18 years old. Advanced skiing or snowboarding level required. Experience teaching snowboarding, skiing or gymnastics, trampoline teaching and spotting experience, and an excellent safety record. Excellent communication and leadership skills. Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work extended hours outdoors in hot to cold temperatures, and work any hours and days of the week. Criminal background check after acceptance. Preferred: experience working with kids and teens, in-depth knowledge of freestyle ski and snowboard tricks, trampoline progressions, BMX, scooters and skateboarding, team, club, academy or camp experience, a college degree or equivalent, CPR and First Aid certification. Three work-related references required.
