Customer Support & Success
Senior Support Engineer, EU
Sanity
Description
Sanity builds an AI-powered content operating system — a modern, flexible platform that replaces rigid legacy content management systems. Its key differentiator is treating content as data, so it can live in a single source of truth while being adapted and personalised for any channel. PUMA, Spotify, Figma, Riot Games and Skims run their content operations on it.
The company raised an **$85m Series C** led by GP Bullhound, and is backed by ICONIQ Growth, Threshold Ventures, Heavybit and Shopify, alongside founders from Vercel, WPEngine, Twitter, Mux, Netlify and Heroku. The team is 200+ people.
**The role**
Sanity is looking for a senior support engineer who enjoys untangling complex technical problems and helping customers succeed at scale. As a senior member of the team you would independently own high-impact issues, guide enterprise customers through complicated implementations, and improve the systems, workflows and documentation the support organisation runs on.
The listing is direct about what this is not: **"This is not a reactive ticket-queue role."** It asks for strong technical judgment, calm communication under pressure, and the ability to turn recurring customer friction into lasting fixes.
**What you would be doing**
- Independently owning and resolving complex technical issues for enterprise customers
- Leading investigations into ambiguous or high-severity issues, and liaising during incidents with clear communication throughout
- Producing high-quality minimal reproductions, reusable code snippets and structured issue reports
- Offering informal mentorship and technical guidance to other Support Engineers, improving how the team investigates, communicates and resolves problems
- Working closely with Product and Engineering to surface patterns and influence product improvements
- Writing and improving documentation, guides and self-serve resources to reduce recurring issues
- Contributing to infrastructure, tooling and workflow improvements within Support
- Taking part in the community support rotation
**This may be you**
- **Remote in Europe**
- 4+ years hands-on in developer support or engineering roles
- Strong experience debugging complex JavaScript and TypeScript, and modern web applications such as Next.js
- A track record of independently owning complex issues from diagnosis through resolution
- Able to elevate those around you through collaboration, clear communication and informal mentorship
- Comfortable operating under pressure while staying clear and empathetic
- Strong debugging instincts, able to reason across frontend, APIs and infrastructure layers
- A bias toward improving systems, documentation and processes rather than just closing individual tickets
- Curious, proactive, and energised by ambiguous problems
Sanity adds a note worth taking at face value: *"Not sure you're exactly what we're looking for in this role? Apply anyway!"*
**What they offer**
- A highly skilled, inspiring and supportive team
- A positive, flexible, trust-based environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth
- A global, multi-culturally diverse group of colleagues and customers
- Comprehensive health plans and perks
- A healthy work-life balance that accommodates individual and family needs
- Competitive salary and a stock options programme
No salary figures are published on this listing.
**Location**
The listing states **Remote in Europe**, with Location Type given as Remote and the team as Customer Solutions. No individual countries are enumerated, so if you are Europe-based it is worth applying and confirming your specific country during the process.
Sanity is a Norwegian-founded company and its site footer shows Oslo and San Francisco as the two anchor time zones, which gives a sense of the working rhythm.
**How to apply**
The role is listed on Sanity's own careers site, and the apply button routes through to their Ashby application form.
