Design, build and ship core platform features and customer-facing workflows in Laravel and PHP. Maintain and improve the foundational codebase, including queue systems and third-party API integrations. Write testable, well-structured code and use production-grade AI coding tools to move quickly. Think through complex system interactions and their impact on hosts managing large reservation volumes. Communicate clearly in writing across a fully distributed, asynchronous team and take ownership of delivering customer value.
5 or more years of software engineering experience with a backend focus. Significant experience with Laravel, PHP 7 or later, and MySQL. Proficiency using AI coding tools at a production level. A philosophy of writing testable code and a customer-value mindset. Strong written communication and self-motivation in a remote-only environment. Experience with queue systems and third-party API integrations is valued. Must be able to work in a European or American (up to US East Coast) time zone; location itself is not a requirement.
