Software Quality Manager

Lead and develop a distributed team of Test Engineers and Technical Writers providing quality and documentation services across Wikimedia engineering. Collaborate cross-functionally with multiple product and engineering teams to plan and prioritize testing and documentation work. Ensure SLAs and performance metrics are defined, tracked and met. Expand automated testing processes and quality-first best practices. Oversee test suite design and maintenance. Keep the team engaged and informed, provide coaching and career development, and foster an inclusive, collaborative culture.

Engineering background with experience in technical management or leadership. Hands-on software development experience in Go, Python, PHP or another object-oriented language. Proven track record managing centralized service teams and balancing diverse stakeholder expectations. Excellent written and spoken English. Demonstrated success leading multicultural, remote, distributed teams. Must be based in one of the US states or countries where the Foundation can hire, listed in the description.
