Senior Data Engineer - Enablement (Berlin, Relocation + Visa Support)

Maintain and enhance dbt services including CI/CD infrastructure, performance optimization and quality standards for a large data practitioner community. Serve as engineering liaison to the analytics community, unblocking issues and raising project quality. Expand data quality and governance infrastructure: anomaly detection, freshness monitoring, drift detection and contract enforcement. Establish governance practices around ownership, product thinking and contract-first design. Develop Python-based tooling with features, integrations and observability utilities. Collaborate with the data platform team on shared infrastructure direction.

Strong problem-solving ability with a focus on root cause analysis. Proficiency writing typed, tested, maintainable Python for shared tooling. Advanced SQL including query plan analysis and performance optimization. Community-oriented mindset and the ability to influence without authority. Demonstrated track record of improving reliability, quality or productivity of a data organization. Experience with dbt at scale including macros, hooks, incremental models and CI/CD integration.
