Typeform, the form builder used by more than 150,000 businesses to collect 500 million responses a year, is hiring a Senior AI Engineer for its AI Engineering team. The role is remote and posted for Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain and the United Kingdom. The team builds machine learning capabilities using large language models, retrieval-augmented generation and agentic systems, and owns the journey from experimentation through to production, including evaluation, infrastructure, deployment, observability, reliability and performance. As a hands-on engineer you will design, build and operate AI systems spanning generative AI applications, enterprise RAG systems, agentic workflows, model evaluation and machine learning pipelines, turning ideas and prototypes into production services while helping define technical standards across the company. Design and deploy generative AI capabilities using LLMs, RAG, vector search and agentic systems. Build production services and APIs that product teams can integrate with. Create automated evaluation pipelines for generative AI features. Develop reliable batch and real-time data processing pipelines. Establish reusable patterns and technical standards for AI engineering at Typeform. Collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science and Analytics teams.
At least four years building and deploying ML or AI systems in production. Strong Python and software engineering skills, including production services built with frameworks such as FastAPI. Hands-on experience developing generative AI applications with tools such as PyTorch, LangChain or LangGraph. Deep understanding of enterprise RAG systems including chunking, embeddings, retrieval and reranking. Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform and CI/CD. ML workflow management with MLflow and experience monitoring production systems. Strong cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred: B2B SaaS background, orchestration tools such as Airflow or Argo Workflows, SQL, Spark and Snowflake, and experience with AI security, privacy and responsible AI practices. Must be based in Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, Portugal, Spain or the United Kingdom.
