Receptionist – Seasonal (Front Desk)

BO Hotel Palazzo, a hotel in Poreč on Croatia's Istrian coast, is hiring a Receptionist for its summer season, with the explicit possibility of moving into a year-round role after a successful season.

Poreč is one of Istria's main tourism towns on the Adriatic, drawing a heavily international mix of German, Italian, and Austrian visitors alongside guests from further afield, so front-desk staff who are comfortable switching between languages are especially valued here.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in/check out international guests throughout their stay
• Handle reservations, front-desk inquiries, and day-to-day guest requests
• Coordinate with housekeeping and other departments to keep rooms and guest requests on track
• Provide local recommendations and tourist information to guests exploring Istria
• Support with basic administrative and hotel-software tasks during shifts
• Represent the hotel professionally across a demanding, high-turnover summer season
• Work rotating shifts, including weekends and evenings, as is standard for hotel front-desk operations

Requirements:

• Minimum secondary education; a background in tourism or hotel management is preferred
• At least one year of front-desk experience in a 4-5 star hotel
• Fluent English, spoken and written
• German or Italian is a strong advantage given Poreč's guest mix
• Familiarity with hotel management software is preferred but not required
• A valid driver's license
• Availability for shift work, including weekends
