Kima Surf
Kima Surf runs surf camps across Bali (Canggu, Seminyak, and Uluwatu) and Sri Lanka (Weligama and Hiriketiya), offering surf lessons, accommodation, and a social camp experience to travelers learning to surf. We are looking for a Camp Manager to run day-to-day operations at one of our Bali locations.
As Camp Manager, you will be the person guests and staff turn to when something needs to happen: coordinating daily surf lesson schedules with instructors, managing guest check-in and check-out, handling bookings and payments, keeping the camp clean and well-stocked, and stepping in to solve problems as they come up, whether that is a scheduling conflict, a maintenance issue, or a guest question about the best warung nearby. You will also help set the social tone of the camp, since a big part of what guests come back for is the atmosphere, not just the surf lessons themselves.
This is a hands-on, high-energy role suited to someone who genuinely enjoys hospitality and can juggle several things at once without losing their patience or their sense of humor. You do not need to be an expert surfer yourself, though comfort in and around the ocean helps you relate to what guests are experiencing. Previous experience in hospitality, hostel or guesthouse management, tour operations, or similar guest-facing roles is a strong plus. English fluency is required since most guests and staff communicate in English; additional languages are a bonus given Kima Surf's international guest base.
Kima Surf operates on a rolling recruitment basis for camp roles, bringing new managers on as positions open across its Bali and Sri Lanka locations, so timelines are flexible rather than tied to a single fixed season. The role is based on-site at camp, living and working alongside the surf camp community, which suits someone looking for an immersive placement rather than a typical office job.
If you want to spend a season (or longer) running the day-to-day of a busy surf camp in Bali, surrounded by travelers from all over the world and a short walk from the beach, this is a good fit. Reach out with your background in hospitality or camp/hostel operations, your availability, and why Bali surf camp life appeals to you.
To apply, submit your details through Kima Surf's official application form linked from their careers page.
