Solutions Engineer, Japan

OP Labs, the core development team behind Optimism and the OP Stack, is hiring a Solutions Engineer based in Japan. The role is remote-friendly but requires Japan residency — "this role must be based in Japan," with no relocation support offered.

You will serve as the primary technical contact for enterprise and institutional partners during evaluations and production integrations, lead technical discovery sessions covering architecture, performance, security, and compliance, design test environments to validate performance assumptions, translate enterprise requirements into product feedback, guide partners through OP Stack architecture and deployment models, and represent Optimism at technical workshops and industry events in Japan.

Requirements: 5-10 years as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or Technical Pre-Sales professional, a background in blockchain infrastructure, cloud platforms, or financial systems, hands-on Ethereum/EVM experience (Layer 1 or Layer 2 preferred), strong blockchain architecture knowledge (sequencing, finality, rollups, smart contracts), fluent Japanese with professional English proficiency, and experience with regulated institutions preferred.
