Identify, qualify and cultivate prospective major donors capable of gifts from $50,000 to $1M and above. Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth relationships through systematic cultivation, solicitation and stewardship phases. Design and write compelling proposals that translate Mozilla's digital rights work into donor-specific giving opportunities. Coordinate with executive leadership on donor meetings and asks. Maintain consistent pipeline growth and document all interactions in Salesforce. Deliver stewardship activities that encourage renewed and increased giving.
Proven success personally closing five- to seven-figure gifts directly with wealthy individuals, ideally in technology, advocacy or public-interest sectors. Exceptional relationship-building and proposal-writing skills. Fluency with donor cultivation strategy and CRM systems such as Salesforce. Ability to translate complex technical concepts into philanthropic narratives. Initiative to advance difficult conversations independently. Preferred: understanding of digital rights issues, familiarity with Donor-Advised Funds, and experience with data-informed prospecting. Must be based in Canada, Germany, the UK or the US.
