Team members welcome guests, scan lift tickets at lift entry points, and operate gondolas and carpet lifts in the valley and learning areas while keeping lift lines safe and moving. No experience is necessary; Vail Resorts trains all lift operators. Starting wage is 20.00 Canadian dollars per hour with full-time hours available. Provide friendly, helpful guest service and information at the lifts. Validate lift tickets prior to boarding. Work with the team to manage lift lines safely and load lifts efficiently. Maintain and secure scanning devices and equipment. Escalate safety concerns and ticketing issues promptly. Monitor passenger safety during gondola and carpet loading and unloading. Report maintenance needs to alpine dispatch and partner with Lift Maintenance on operating procedures. Follow emergency protocols and contact Ski Patrol when necessary. Keep work areas clean and safe and perform other duties as assigned.
At least 18 years of age. Fluent English communication. Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, standing and moving for the entire shift on potentially slippery surfaces. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and physically assist guests. Sound judgment and quick decision-making regarding safety. Availability to work weekends, holidays and peak periods. No previous experience required; full training provided. Must hold or be able to obtain Canadian work authorization.
