Club Med
Club Med is hiring a Demi Chef de Partie for its resorts, recruiting in France with the possibility of placement overseas. Job ID R-578, Hospitality and Catering family, seasonal contract.
This sits a step below Chef de Partie on Club Med's kitchen ladder, which runs from Kitchen Assistant and Pastry Cook through Demi Chef de Partie to Chef de Partie and beyond. Club Med state that you can progress to Chef de Partie quickly and travel the world doing it.
WHO THEY ARE LOOKING FOR

• Responsible and a teacher at heart, able to supervise and guide a team
• Organised, respecting established processes and quality standards

Every resort has a range of restaurants and bars, both event-focused and more intimate, serving the Premium all-inclusive offer.
The "or overseas" in the title matters: you apply from France, but placement can be at Club Med resorts elsewhere in the world.
ABOUT CLUB MED
Club Med invented the all-inclusive holiday and runs nearly 70 resorts across 26 countries, open summer and winter. Resort staff are known as G.O (Gentle Organizer) and G.E (Gentle Employee).
Three seasons operate: spring, summer and winter. Ski and mountain roles recruit for winter, watersports and beach roles for summer. Some countries recruit year-round.
WHAT IS PROVIDED
• Accommodation and meals provided by Club Med, for a fixed fee deducted from salary
• Salary adapted to skills and experience, typically fixed salary plus a bonus on objectives
• Access to resort facilities and activities during your time off
• Preferential rates on excursions, spa services and the boutique
• Professional equipment supplied
MOBILITY ACROSS CONTINENTS
Most people do their first season in or near their country of residence. After that a career manager discusses mobility, which can open resorts in Europe, Africa, the West Indies, the Indian Ocean, Asia, and North and South America.
Contracts are seasonal or fixed-term and are commonly renewed across seasons, so this is a route into multi-year international work rather than a single season.
RECRUITMENT PROCESS
1. Select a job offer and apply
2. An initial phone interview if your profile matches
3. A video, in-person or recruitment-event meeting
4. If successful, you stay in contact with the team until your work location is confirmed
Recruitment is based substantially on personality, alongside skills from specialised diplomas or proven professional, associative or sporting experience.
All positions are open to people with disabilities.
TWO PRACTICAL NOTES
Club Med's job search filters by your country of residence, so select the correct country to see the offers open to you.
Club Med re-advertises evergreen resort roles across seasons rather than closing them, so it is worth applying even if a listing has been live for some time.
