Receptionist – MYK.REC

Katikies Hotels is hiring a Receptionist for its Mykonos property, on a seasonal contract.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Checking guests in and out efficiently and warmly, using their name whenever possible. Confirming room type and correct rate. Arranging luggage delivery and issuing keys. Handling all guest interactions with a high level of hospitality, resolving complaints and answering inquiries about hotel services, hours and in-house events. Taking reservations, changes and cancellations. Using hotel computer systems to run daily reports and manage room blocks. Settling bills accurately by card or cash, reconciling a balanced till at the close of each shift.

REQUIREMENTS

Preferred prior experience in Front Office or Concierge at a luxury hotel. Ability to multi-task in a high-volume environment across several computer systems. Fluency in English and Greek is required. A second language is an asset, especially Mandarin. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, excellent personal presentation, and a genuine teamwork spirit.

Note the Greek-language requirement here: this is a guest-facing front desk role, so unlike some of Katikies' back-of-house positions, local language fluency is a firm requirement rather than a preference.
