Anthropic is hiring a Communications Lead for France and Southern Europe, based in Paris, to develop and run communications strategy across France, Italy and Spain. You will translate Anthropic's global momentum into locally resonant narratives, lead corporate communications that establish the company as a respected presence in Europe, partner with go-to-market teams to build Claude's enterprise profile, and shape policy communications on topics such as AI in science, education and the public sector as well as sovereignty, copyright and regulation. The role builds relationships with journalists, creators and influential voices in the regional AI conversation, advises spokespeople and client executives on media engagement, and builds team and agency structures to scale delivery. On immigration, Anthropic states: We do sponsor visas! However, we aren't able to successfully sponsor visas for every role and every candidate. But if we make you an offer, we will make every reasonable effort to get you a visa, and we retain an immigration lawyer to help with this. 10 to 12 years of communications experience, preferably at AI companies or high-growth technology firms. Passion for AI safety and responsible development of AI systems. Demonstrated media relations expertise, particularly with French journalists. Strong understanding of the European AI ecosystem including companies, founders, investors, policymakers and journalists. Experience running international communications for US-based technology firms with a presence in France, Italy or Spain. Ability to advise senior leadership effectively. Fluent in French and English; Italian and/or Spanish preferred. Helpful: direct AI company, startup or research lab communications background, relationships with key AI voices in the region, financial services, healthcare or life sciences communications experience, and understanding of EU AI policy dynamics. Hybrid role with at least 25 percent time in the Paris office.
