Aspen Skiing Company is hiring an Assistant Store Manager for its Four Mountain Sports retail and rental locations for the Winter 2026-27 season in Aspen or Snowmass Village, Colorado. The role partners with the Store Manager on daily operations, leads the sales floor, and takes full ownership of the store in the manager's absence. Reports to the Store Manager.
Partner with the Store Manager on operational priorities and assume full ownership of the store in their absence. Lead sales floor activities to maximize guest experience and sales. Model and reinforce exceptional guest service standards, addressing escalated guest concerns promptly. Drive retail and rental performance through selling behaviors and accountability for key metrics. Coach and develop team members, and support hiring and training. Oversee rental operations including equipment selection and safety standards. Manage POS operations, cash handling, and inventory. Assist with scheduling and labor management, and ensure compliance with company policies and safety standards.

High school diploma required, college degree preferred. 2-5 years of retail, hospitality, rental, or guest service experience. Minimum 1-2 years of supervisory or leadership experience. 1+ years of POS systems and cash handling experience. Ski or snowboard retail experience strongly preferred. Strong leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain strong attention to detail.
