Area Lead Analytics Engineer (Limited-time Relocation Bonus)

Vinted is Europe's largest peer-to-peer marketplace for secondhand fashion, headquartered in Vilnius, and it runs on a large, complex data platform spanning Revenue, Purchase, and Orders domains. We are hiring an Area Lead Analytics Engineer to set technical direction across those domains, designing scalable and reliable data products that the rest of the company depends on for decision-making.

In this role you will define standards for data modeling, semantic layers, testing, and observability across multiple teams, not just your own. You will lead cross-domain technical initiatives, mentor other analytics and data engineers, and act as the person other teams come to when they need a second opinion on how a data model should be structured or why a pipeline is behaving unexpectedly. A meaningful part of the role is driving improvements in data quality, cost efficiency, and operational excellence at a platform level, plus partnering closely with backend engineering teams on event-driven architecture and instrumentation so that the data flowing into the platform is trustworthy from the source.

We are looking for someone with production-grade experience building data models, pipelines, and data products at real scale, not just in a lab or small-team setting. Strong SQL and dbt expertise is required, along with experience building and maintaining semantic layers. You should be comfortable on at least one major cloud data platform such as BigQuery, Snowflake, Redshift, AWS, GCP, or Azure, and have hands-on experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster and event or behavioral data pipelines. Beyond the technical skills, this is a lead role, so we need someone who has demonstrated the ability to set technical standards and influence multiple teams, with strong systems thinking and cross-team credibility.

The role is based in Vilnius, Lithuania, hybrid with two days per week in the office recommended. Compensation is €6,167 to €8,342 gross monthly. Vinted is currently offering a limited-time relocation package for candidates joining from outside Lithuania: a €30,000 gross relocation bonus plus two months of temporary housing, with visa sponsorship support for those who need it to work legally in Lithuania.
