Trustpilot
Trustpilot, the global online reviews platform headquartered in Copenhagen, is hiring a Data Science Manager to lead two of its core trust and safety teams: fraud detection and automated content moderation.
This is a hands-on people-management role for someone who has previously built production ML systems themselves and now wants to lead the engineers and data scientists doing that work. Trustpilot's business depends on keeping fake and fraudulent reviews off the platform at scale, which makes this one of the more consequential data science functions inside the company.
Responsibilities:
• Lead and empower two cross-functional teams of Data Scientists and Engineers dedicated to automated content moderation and fake review detection
• Own technical delivery across both teams, balancing quality, speed, and long-term system health
• Facilitate project scoping and prioritization together with stakeholders across the business
• Foster team development, accountability, and a strong engineering culture within the group
• Guide technical decisions on model design, evaluation, and deployment for fraud and moderation systems
Requirements:
• Extensive experience in a complex technical domain such as fraud detection, healthcare ML, computer vision, or a comparable field
• A proven track record building scalable systems with ML components, from concept through production
• Hands-on proficiency with cloud-based ML systems, particularly Google Cloud Platform
• Experience optimizing models specifically for low false-positive rates, which matters heavily in content moderation
• Demonstrated leadership of data science and engineering teams, not just individual technical contribution
• Strong people-management and cross-functional collaboration skills
• Willingness to work in person in Copenhagen multiple days per week
What Trustpilot offers:
• Leadership of a high-impact, high-visibility function at a well-known global consumer platform
• A technically deep team working on real adversarial problems (fraud and fake review detection), not routine reporting
• A Copenhagen-based role at a company with a genuinely international workforce across its European and North American offices
• The opportunity to shape both the technical direction and the team culture of a growing data science group
This role requires in-person presence in Copenhagen multiple days a week, so it suits someone either already based in or planning to relocate to Denmark; the posting does not state visa sponsorship or relocation assistance, so applicants should confirm their own right to work in Denmark, or ask about sponsorship directly during the interview process, before applying.
