Snow King Mountain Resort, the in-town ski hill in Jackson, Wyoming at the doorstep of Grand Teton National Park, is hiring Mountain Sports School ski and snowboard instructors for the 2026/27 winter season starting December 1, 2026. Instructors deliver quality lessons in a safe, fun learning environment for guests of all ages and abilities (children from age 4 through adults) while following company guidelines and the Wyoming Skier Safety Act. Full-time, part-time and peak/holiday schedules are available, with typical hours of 9:30am to 6pm on weekdays and 9:30am to 3:30pm on weekends. Pay is 17 to 23.50 USD per hour with additional incentive rates based on experience and privately requested lessons. Housing is provided on a first come, first served basis for full-time staff, so early applicants relocating for the season have the best chance of securing a spot. Perks include a free season pass, food, beverage, retail and rental discounts, reciprocal skiing at 40+ US resorts and online pro deals. This is a seasonal role in the United States; applicants must be at least 18 and fluent in English, and the employer does not mention visa sponsorship.

Teach ski and snowboard lessons to guests within your assigned skill levels, communicating and demonstrating instruction clearly. Competently ski or snowboard all green, blue and single-black terrain at Snow King. Evaluate lesson progress and match guests to the appropriate instructor level. Maintain guest safety across varied terrain and winter weather conditions. Assist with chairlift loading and unloading and with transporting equipment. Teach family lessons with mixed ages, supervise children and assist with meals during classes. Support Mountain Sports School operations including registration, equipment fitting and facility upkeep.
At least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent. Ability to competently ski or snowboard all green, blue and single-black terrain at Snow King Mountain. Must pass a background check and complete mandatory Mountain Sports School training. Available to work holidays and weekends. Fluent in all aspects of the English language, spoken and written. Excellent guest service and communication skills, ability to work in inclement high-alpine winter weather, and basic computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, browser applications).
