AWS Game Development Segment Lead
Supabase
Description
Supabase is the Postgres development platform, built by developers for developers, offering a complete backend in one place: database, auth, storage, edge functions, realtime and vector search. It was born remote and open-source-first, with no offices anywhere.
**The role**
Supabase is scaling its AWS partnership across several go-to-market motions, and gaming is one of the fastest-moving. This position owns the AWS gaming segment end to end — driving adoption of Supabase inside game studios building on AWS, and managing both the technical and commercial relationship with AWS's gaming ecosystem, including GameLift, gaming ISVs and gaming-focused SI and SA teams.
You would work closely with the SI partner ecosystem on feature enhancements, run co-sell motions with AWS gaming account teams, and build the pipeline that proves gaming is a durable growth motion for the AWS relationship.
**What you'll do**
- Own the AWS gaming segment strategy and roadmap
- Manage relationships with AWS's gaming team and gaming-focused AWS Solutions Architects
- Drive the SI partnership motion with gaming systems integrators, including scoping technical gap analyses on SDK coverage across **Unity, Unreal and Godot**, negotiating MNDAs and agreements, and managing joint GTM plans
- Build and run co-sell pipeline with AWS gaming account teams through ACE
- Identify and close gaps in Supabase's gaming-specific product story — SDK support, real-time and multiplayer patterns, feature parity against incumbents
- Represent the gaming motion in AWS SCA and funding conversations, providing the data and narrative behind investment asks
- Partner with product marketing on gaming-specific content, case studies and launch narratives
**Who you are**
- 3–5+ years in partnerships, alliances or business development, ideally with AWS or another hyperscaler
- Gaming industry experience — studios, publishers, or gaming-focused ISVs and SIs — is a strong plus
- A track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder partner relationships across SI partners, hyperscaler field teams and internal product and engineering
- Comfortable with technical ambiguity. You do not need to write code, but you need to understand SDK gaps and integration patterns well enough to be credible with Solutions Architects and engineers
- Strong program management instincts — the role is equal parts relationship-building and disciplined execution
- Proven ability to execute co-marketing and co-sell initiatives, with a real understanding of partner attribution and reporting
- High autonomy and external credibility, representing Supabase independently in high-stakes partner discussions
- AWS Partner Central, ACE and Marketplace mechanics are a plus
**What Supabase offers**
- **Fully remote, hiring globally.** There are no Supabase offices anywhere, and the company provides a WeWork membership or co-working allowance usable in any country
- ESOP equity for every team member
- Tech allowance for your working setup
- 100% health insurance for employees and 80% for dependents, wherever you are based
- Annual company off-site, a full week in a new city
- Asynchronous operation with genuine control over your own time
- Annual education allowance
**About the team**
~400 team members, 60+ countries, 20+ languages spoken, over $1B raised including a $500M Series F, and 540,000+ community members.
**A sibling role worth knowing about**
Supabase is running two AWS segment lead positions in parallel. This one covers game development. The other covers the **enterprise and AI-native segment**, working with AWS enterprise account teams, Competency designations and reference programmes.
The boilerplate and benefits are identical across both; the difference is which segment you own. If your background is closer to enterprise procurement than to studios, look at that version instead. Both are live at the time of writing.
**Why this one is worth a look**
Partnerships roles are usually tethered to a hyperscaler's regional office. This one is not — Supabase has never had an office anywhere, and the listing states plainly that they hire globally.
It is also an unusual blend: a gaming-focused role at a database company, requiring enough technical fluency to discuss Unity and Unreal SDK coverage while running commercial negotiations with AWS. If you have sat between game studios and infrastructure vendors before, that combination is rare to find advertised as fully remote.
