Applied AI Architect, Beneficial Deployments - Life Sciences (London, Visa Sponsorship Available)

Serve as the primary technical advisor to life sciences research institutions and mission-driven organizations throughout their Claude adoption journey, translating scientific workflows into impactful solutions from discovery through deployment. Help partners become AI-native organizations through Claude Code and Claude for Science enablement and evolution of research and business processes. Design and lead cohort-based accelerators to scale expertise and impact across multiple institutions at once, and feed findings about what is hard in life sciences AI deployment back to product, engineering and research. Identify patterns across partners to inform ecosystem-level work such as MCP servers for domain-specific data sources, scientifically grounded benchmarks and evals, and reusable agent skills. Create technical presentations, demos and scalable content such as documentation, tutorials and sample code. Travel occasionally to partner sites for workshops, technical deep dives and relationship building. Help shape team processes and culture as the team scales.

8 or more years in a technical role, ideally with customer-facing exposure such as Solutions Architect, Customer Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Product Engineer or Forward Deployed Engineer. Experience in life sciences, biomedical research or scientific computing; genomics, neuroscience or drug discovery experience is a bonus, along with comfort getting deeply technical with academics. Experience working in or building trust with academic research institutions, biotech, pharma or other mission-driven scientific organizations. Familiarity with common LLM implementation patterns including prompt and context engineering, evaluation frameworks, agent architectures and retrieval. A love of teaching and mentoring, and a scrappy mentality comfortable building from scratch in ambiguous situations. Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field. Expected to be in the London office at least 25 percent of the time.
