Consulting
Senior Project Delivery Specialist
Airalo
Description
Airalo runs the world's first eSIM store, helping millions of travellers access affordable mobile data across 200+ countries and regions. The team is 400+ people across 60+ countries, fully remote by design, and many of the people building the product were customers first.
**The role**
This is a project delivery position inside Airalo's Networks and Technologies group, running high-exposure, multi-faceted projects that carry the company's strategy into new markets.
A notable part of the job is external-facing: you would represent Airalo as the project management interface to mobile networks, vendors and service partners globally. That makes it as much a relationship and coordination role as a planning one.
**Responsibilities**
- Managing high-exposure, multi-faceted projects to ensure Airalo's strategy is executed effectively
- Coordinating internal deliverables and external efforts to guarantee timely delivery
- Representing Airalo to mobile networks, vendors and service partners on a global scale
- Managing vendors and suppliers against time, budget and quality commitments
- Applying best practices and standards to strengthen the project governance framework
- Defining and measuring key aspects of project performance, then tracking, driving and reporting status
- Creating project time plans covering vendors, deliverables, milestones and critical paths
- Analysing risk, defining mitigation plans and acting on them proactively
- Making resource levelling and project prioritisation decisions
- Ensuring quality assurance practices are applied, working with Engineering and QA
- Managing regulatory compliance for projects targeting new markets, orchestrating Legal and Product Management where needed
- Coordinating the technical work of integrating new networks into the Airalo platform
- Acting as first-level escalation point for shortcomings of any nature
**Must have**
- Minimum 3 years relevant experience in the mobile telco industry
- Minimum 6 years in enterprise software deployment and integration projects
- Sound understanding of eSIM technology and its use cases
- Understanding of mobile roaming use cases, including passive and active roaming, international calling and sponsored roaming
- Knowledge of project management methodologies spanning Waterfall through Agile
- Strong planning and execution skills across scope, time, budget, resource management, dependencies, critical path, risk management and status reporting
- Business-fluent English in writing, speaking and reading
**Nice to have**
- Basic understanding of telecommunications network technologies such as Mobile Core and OSS/BSS
- PMP, PRINCE2 or Agile PM certification
- International working experience, which Airalo notes is highly preferred
**Compensation — disclosed across six European bands**
- **UK:** £71,600 – £102,900
- **Ireland:** €85,200 – €122,475
- **Western/Northern Europe:** €62,800 – €131,675
- **Southern Europe:** €49,600 – €107,275
- **Central & Eastern Europe:** €31,023 – €87,975
- **South-Eastern Europe / Balkans:** €49,518 – €73,673
Your band depends on where you are based, and Airalo says the Talent team walks through it on the first call.
Worth noting: the Irish and Western/Northern European bands here sit above the UK band at the top end, which is unusual and worth factoring in if you have flexibility over where you base yourself.
**Location**
The header reads "Europe / United Kingdom," and the compensation section confirms the role is open across Airalo's supported locations in Europe, listing all six bands. Filed as Europe-wide.
**Before applying**
Full-time and permanent. English is the working language, in meetings and async.
Airalo uses AI-assisted tools to review and organise CV information, with all hiring decisions made by humans. If you reach interview, AI-assisted note-taking may be used and **you can opt out**. Background checks may be requested at the end of the process, with your consent.
