Wageningen University and Research is hiring a PhD researcher to study how water composition and activated carbon properties affect the removal of PFAS from drinking water, in a project run with the drinking water company Evides. You will investigate competitive adsorption between PFAS and organic matter, run batch and column experiments at environmentally relevant concentrations and develop predictive tools for filter performance. Salary is EUR 3,204 to 4,051 gross per month (38 hours a week, with a year-end bonus) on an 18-month contract that is renewable if performance is satisfactory.
