Own the technical preparation and execution of Level 2 kernel certifications to meet EMVCo type-approval requirements and scheme specifications (Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Discover, JCB, UnionPay, and local schemes). Manage end-to-end relationships with external certification labs. Investigate test failures at the APDU and transaction-flow level and guide kernel developers toward fixes. Minimum 2 years hands-on experience performing Level 2 certifications for contact and contactless kernels. Strong EMV kernel-level knowledge, including specifications, terminal application flow, CVM processing, and cryptogram generation. Proficiency with EMV test tooling, card simulators, and APDU trace analysis. Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills. Detail orientation and ability to track evolving EMVCo specs and scheme bulletins. Ability to manage multiple external-deadline-driven projects.
