DevOps & Infrastructure
Hydrosat
Hydrosat builds satellite-based thermal imaging technology that helps growers and agribusinesses understand water stress and crop health from space. We are hiring a Platform Engineer to join our Applications and Data Engineering team in Luxembourg, owning the cloud infrastructure that our satellite data pipelines and customer-facing products run on.
In this role you will deploy and manage AWS cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools, and design and implement CI/CD pipelines that support multiple environments as we ship features and process new satellite imagery. You will maintain and optimize our Kubernetes clusters for both cost-effectiveness and scalability, since satellite data processing workloads can be bursty and resource-intensive. Beyond keeping systems running, you will monitor performance and ensure high availability, reliability, and security across the platform, and establish logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks that give the team real visibility into how production systems are behaving.
You will also manage service networking, including ingress and egress and secure connectivity between services, and take ownership of core infrastructure components from initial concept through to production deployment. Part of the role involves establishing DevSecOps practices across engineering teams that may not have a dedicated platform background, so mentoring and clear communication matter as much as the technical work itself.
We are looking for someone with 5 or more years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or a closely related field, with strong AWS and cloud-native architecture expertise and real proficiency running Kubernetes and containerized workloads in production. You should have hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code frameworks and CI/CD tooling such as GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins, along with experience setting up centralized logging and monitoring solutions. A solid understanding of DevSecOps principles is important, and since this is a small, fast-moving team, self-motivation, strong problem-solving instincts, and genuine ownership orientation matter more than following a rigid playbook.
The role is based in Luxembourg on a hybrid basis. Hydrosat explicitly offers EU visa sponsorship when required for this role, along with Luxembourg's notably attractive tax advantages for relocators and a relocation bonus. Additional benefits include stock options and meal vouchers.
If you want to build the infrastructure backbone for a satellite agtech company, with genuine visa sponsorship and relocation support to Luxembourg, this is a strong fit. Apply directly through Hydrosat's official careers page.
