Supabase
Supabase is hiring a FinOps Data Engineer to drive cost optimization and cloud financial governance across its AWS and GCP infrastructure. This is a hands-on engineering role, not an analyst seat: you will dig into billing and usage data, build the data models that explain cost, and ship savings with engineering teams. The posting lists the location as Remote, Global, and Supabase is a fully remote company.
Find and ship savings across AWS and GCP by analyzing billing, usage and cost trends. Build and maintain the FinOps data pipeline with BigQuery and dbt models over raw billing and usage data. Build cost-versus-revenue and customer segmentation models for unit economics and margin. Apply data science to cost data, including forecasting and statistical anomaly detection. Build cost attribution with tagging policies, allocation and chargeback or showback. Automate cost governance with reporting, anomaly detection and alerting. Partner with engineering on architecture decisions and with Finance on forecasting and reporting.
