Compliance Engineer

CertiK, a leading blockchain security and Web3 compliance firm, is hiring a Compliance Engineer. Remote, restricted to Europe and Asia (APAC) — "this role must be performed outside the United States; we are unable to consider candidates who will work from within the U.S."

You will analyze and decompose regulatory frameworks and licensing requirements, support licensing and regulatory-readiness projects (scoping, gap assessment, evidence requests, application preparation), conduct first-line review of AI outputs for accuracy, traceability, and client suitability, convert unstructured requests into clear scopes and compliance deliverables, partner with Engineering to build regulatory mappings, templates, and workflows, and escalate high-risk conclusions to senior Compliance or Legal.

Requirements: 3+ years of experience in compliance, regulatory consulting, digital assets, fintech, or law-firm work, hands-on experience with at least one licensing application or regulatory-readiness project, strong regulatory analysis and evidence-review capability, ability to produce guidance, mappings, and client reports, client communication and project-management skills, English fluency (Mandarin Chinese preferred but not required), familiarity with digital-asset regulation and VASP licensing preferred, and a basic understanding of LLM limitations and hallucination risk.
