Anthropic is hiring an Applied AI Engineer for its DNB (digital native business) segment in London, UK. In this role you serve as the hands-on technical advisor to growth-stage companies building on Claude, engaging directly with their engineering teams through pair programming, architecture reviews and code contributions, and developing prototypes, evaluation frameworks and documentation that let customers scale. You will collaborate with Applied AI Architects across engagements, identify patterns and share insights with Anthropic's Product and Engineering teams, create technical content, and foster community through hackathons, webinars and developer events, with travel to customer sites for workshops and relationship building. The listed salary is 225,000 to 255,000 GBP per year. Anthropic states directly on the listing that it sponsors visas: We do sponsor visas! Production experience building LLM applications: prompting, context engineering, agents, evaluation frameworks and deployment. Strong Python proficiency and experience shipping production applications. Background in high-growth companies and the ability to context-switch across industries. Credibility as a builder with technical founders and strong technical communication skills. Experience facilitating workshops and developer events. Commitment to safe and beneficial AI. Ability to be in the London office at least 25 percent of the time.
