The backend is built on Elixir and Phoenix with PostgreSQL, deployed on AWS, and ships multiple times per day through a fully automated CI/CD pipeline on GitLab. You'll lead development of major team-scoped projects, contribute to cross-team initiatives for Remote's HR and payroll products, participate in product work and architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and help redesign how engineering ships by embedding autonomous agentic workflows as a default execution layer. Salary range is $53,300–$119,850 USD, geo-adjusted globally.
