Senior Analytics Engineer, Merchant (Remote within Germany, Finland or Sweden)

Wolt — the Helsinki-founded technology company operating in over 500 cities across 30 countries, delivering restaurant food, groceries and almost everything else, which joined DoorDash in 2022 and now serves 55M+ registered users with 200,000+ restaurant and retail partners — is hiring a Senior Analytics Engineer for its Merchant Analytics Engineering team. You can base yourself in Berlin, Helsinki or Stockholm, and Wolt explicitly lets you choose your way of working: hybrid, fully in the office, or fully REMOTE within those countries. Analytics at Wolt spans data science, regional business operations and analytics engineering; the complexity of online delivery, the differing economics of each city, and enormous volumes of real-time geolocational and temporal data make it an unusually interesting place to practise analytics. In this role you will develop reporting and metrics quality end to end, work on centrally maintained data integrations and pipelines powering the Data Warehouse, design and implement complex pipelines with dependency control, orchestration and auto-materialisation logic, develop a self-service data modelling strategy, increase data literacy through hands-on training and documentation, and mentor more junior team members. Tech stack: Snowflake, SQL, Looker, Airflow, Dagster, DBT, GitHub and Wolt's in-house ETL. Requires 5+ years as an Analytics Engineer or BI Developer, advanced SQL with optimisation for large datasets, and strong business acumen.
