Senior Content Marketer (Remote – US or Canada)

Description

Mercury — the fintech building banking and financial software for startups and ambitious companies — is hiring a Senior Content Marketer for its Stories team, working remotely from anywhere in the United States or Canada (or optionally from the San Francisco, New York, or Portland offices). This is a senior individual contributor role focused on educational and informational content for founders and entrepreneurs. You will drive the day-to-day operation of Mercury's educational blog, from content planning through assignment, editing, publishing, and ongoing optimization; write, edit, and package content across blogs, newsletters, and campaigns; manage freelancers and agency partners to scale the work while holding the quality bar; partner with SEO/AEO, Product Marketing, Communications, and Design to maximise reach and impact; use performance data and audience insights to guide editorial investment; and leverage AI and modern content tools to improve research, editing, and production workflows. Requirements: 8+ years in content marketing, content strategy, editorial, or a related field; an exceptional writer and editor with a track record of elevating other writers through thoughtful feedback; proven success leading a blog, newsletter, or similarly scaled editorial program; comfort managing freelancers and agencies; and a solid command of business, entrepreneurship, or finance with the ability to make it engaging. Compensation (base salary, plus equity in stock options/RSUs and benefits): US employees in New York City, Los Angeles, Seattle, or the San Francisco Bay Area $158,200-$197,800; US employees elsewhere $142,400-$178,000; Canadian employees, any location, CAD 149,500-186,900.
