Since launching in 2022 Kindred has grown to a global community of 300,000 members across 150+ cities, positioning home swapping as a radically more affordable, responsible and connected third option alongside short-term rentals and hotels. This role is for a full-stack engineer who leads with UI/UX craft — building polished, dynamic consumer experiences in React and React Native with the backend depth to take a feature from idea to production without a handoff. You will own features end-to-end: shaping the interaction, building the interface, writing the APIs and data models behind it, then shipping, measuring and iterating across web and mobile. Requires 3+ years building consumer-facing applications with real depth in React and React Native, fluency in TypeScript across the stack (Next.js, React Native/Expo, Node + GraphQL over Postgres), a sharp eye for UI detail, and the product judgment to work from a rough direction.
