Sous Chef - Winter 2026/27 (Crystal Mountain Resort, Washington - Employee Housing Eligible)

Support the Executive Chefs across multiple venues, adapting to different kitchens and service styles. Execute prep, cooking, inventory and sanitation duties. Master diverse menus and hold culinary standards. Ski or snowboard safely to on-mountain venues as assigned. Provide kitchen leadership when the Head Chef is absent, train and mentor kitchen staff, and coordinate any disciplinary matters with the Executive Chef. Maintain food safety compliance and monitor portioning, preparation and waste control. Support both back-of-house and front-of-house operations as needed.

Minimum 3 years of food and beverage experience and at least 1 year of culinary back-of-house management or equivalent leadership. Proficiency across multiple cuisines and service styles. Intermediate-level skiing or snowboarding ability. Familiarity with Microsoft Office plus kitchen ordering and accounting. ServSafe certification or the ability to obtain it, or a Washington Food Handlers Permit. Flexibility for evenings, weekends and holidays. Ability to lift at least 50 pounds occasionally. Must be eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship is mentioned.
