The team builds the systems that move money securely and efficiently for thousands of hotel customers across the globe: resilient payment flows, integrations with complex partner APIs, and high standards for quality, security and PCI compliance. Cloudbeds is a remote-first, fully distributed company with team members in more than 40 countries, and this role is posted for candidates based in Europe, Latin America or North America. The listed salary range of 130,000 to 160,000 USD per year applies to US-based candidates, with flexibility for packages above that range for exceptional candidates. Design and build resilient, scalable payment systems that enable secure global money movement for Cloudbeds customers. Integrate complex partner and payment-provider APIs and own those integrations end to end. Design event-driven microservices in PHP or Java and operate them on modern infrastructure including Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform, ArgoCD, GitHub Actions and DataDog. Write maintainable, well-tested code and hold a high bar for system quality, security and data privacy. Think strategically about scalability and cost implications of technical decisions and take an ownership mindset toward the systems you build.
5+ years of PHP web application development. 2+ years working with MySQL or PostgreSQL, including query and schema optimization. 1+ year designing event-driven microservices in PHP or Java. Proficiency with modern infrastructure tooling such as DataDog, GitHub Actions, Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Terraform and ArgoCD. Strong API integration skills and an understanding of PCI and data privacy requirements. Bonus: experience with PCI-DSS or other regulated environments, large-scale Domain Driven Design, and a background in payments or the travel industry. Must be authorized to work in your location without visa sponsorship; must be based in Europe, Latin America or North America.
