Senior Software Engineer – Flight Experience

Flight Experience is one of Kiwi.com's core product areas, covering disruption handling, automated check-in, baggage, and seating features used by millions of travelers booking multi-carrier itineraries. This is a senior, end-to-end ownership role rather than a narrow ticket-closing position.

Responsibilities:

• Drive AI-powered innovation across core systems for disruption handling, automated check-in, baggage, and seating
• Own solutions end-to-end, from design through production, with an emphasis on maintainable code and strong test coverage
• Use product and business metrics to identify traveler pain points and shape new technical features
• Collaborate closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and data specialists on cross-functional initiatives
• Ship features quickly and iterate on live, high-traffic production services

Requirements:

• Demonstrated experience accelerating development with AI-native tools such as Cursor or Claude Code
• Advanced Python development skills, writing clean, stable, production-grade code; familiarity with Golang is a plus
• Experience designing scalable microservices using REST and asynchronous messaging (Celery, RabbitMQ)
• Senior-level experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and BigQuery
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across complex, multi-system issues
• A track record of owning projects end-to-end, from inception through production
• High autonomy and professional English proficiency, spoken and written
