Conduct discovery, design, develop, test, deploy and maintain backend software for engagement features. Manage individual project priorities while collaborating with knowledge-sharing teams. Stay current with technology trends and propose product ideas. Experiment with new architectural approaches during dedicated innovation days. Own features from concept through to customer-facing results with a focus on security, testing and clear documentation.
Experience developing software with JVM languages and Spring Boot in large-scale production systems (Kotlin is a plus). In-depth understanding of microservice architecture. Knowledge of relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases. Familiarity with modern cloud architecture, ideally AWS. Proficiency using AI coding tools such as Claude or GitHub Copilot. Product-centric mindset that prioritizes why before how. Strong ownership mentality and ability to give and receive direct feedback. Willingness to work hybrid from Berlin or Barcelona at least 8 days per month.
