The Appalachian Mountain Club is hiring a seasonal Cook for its Highland Center Lodge at Crawford Notch in Bretton Woods, New Hampshire, in the heart of the White Mountain National Forest. The position starts as soon as possible for the fall and winter season. Pay is 16.50 USD per hour. Staff housing is available as a dorm-style room for 75 USD per week, and meals are included. The kitchen prepares breakfast, lunch, and dinner buffets for lodge guests, with roughly 95 percent of the food made from scratch. This is a hands-on role in a busy outdoor-recreation lodge that serves hikers, families, and groups, and it requires weekend, holiday, and evening availability. AMC requires an annual criminal background record check for employees working in facilities that serve children, disabled persons, or the elderly, with employment contingent on satisfactory results.
