The Environmental Technology group at Wageningen University and Research is hiring a PhD candidate to investigate how electricity can replace chemical additives in industrial processes. The research looks at the local pH environments that form near electrodes and membranes in electrochemical systems, combining theoretical modeling with laboratory experiments and collaboration with industrial partners. Salary is EUR 3,204 to 4,051 gross per month (38 hours a week) on an 18-month fixed-term contract that can be extended.
