Growth & Data (IC)
GitBook
Description
GitBook — the profitable developer documentation platform trusted by 2M+ users and teams like Zoom, FedEx, Nvidia, Snyk, and Google, with 40,000 sign-ups per month, backed by P9 Capital, Notion Capital, and Fly VC, and a globally distributed team across 15 countries in North America, Europe, and Asia — is hiring an individual contributor Growth & Data generalist to own data as both a product and a lever for business impact. This is not a traditional analytics role: you won't be building dashboards or maintaining pipelines. Instead you'll run user research and translate feedback into actionable growth insights, design and run experiments and campaigns to drive product adoption, build lightweight data applications and internal tooling to enable faster decision-making, and connect tools and systems across product, marketing, and sales into a coherent data ecosystem. The stack is GCP (BigQuery, Composer), dbt, Replit, Tableau, Amplitude, and Segment. GitBook is looking for an analytics engineer or data generalist who thinks in outcomes not queries, can move from messy question to shipped action end-to-end without getting stuck in one layer of the stack, and has experience in a high-growth startup or PLG environment. The role sits across commercial and product functions with wide scope and direct visibility into company decisions.
