Receive all guests and visitors in a positive, friendly and professional manner. Manage and resolve guest complaints and compliments professionally. Respond to guest and visitor requests in a timely and positive manner. Answer phones courteously and maintain a high level of professional appearance. Maintain billing accuracy for all guest accounts and keep an accurate bank while handling cash per policy. Keep the front desk, lobby and back office clean and organized. Take reservations with a focus on maximizing occupancy and ADR using a flexible rate structure. Receive payment and issue lunch vouchers for tour bus and other groups. Other duties as assigned.
At least 6 months of previous customer service experience. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a pleasant personality able to deal with a wide variety of people. Computer or hotel computer system experience. Ability to work quickly and thoroughly under pressure, attend to more than one task at a time and adapt to changes in procedures. Must adhere to grooming standards and be available for both AM and PM front desk shifts. Valid driver's license required. Physical requirements include standing for eight hours and working in extreme temperatures.
