Manage, mentor and grow a distributed team of backend and frontend engineers working across EMEA and North America time zones, with regular one-on-ones and career development. Own delivery for the Fleet Management control plane and related OpenTelemetry-based collector tooling within Grafana Cloud. Partner with product leadership to integrate Fleet Management into the broader Grafana Cloud user experience and roadmap. Collaborate with go-to-market and customer success teams so that customer feedback shapes priorities. Foster a culture of psychological safety, experimentation and continuous improvement, and keep code quality high while embracing AI-assisted development workflows.
Prior experience managing software engineers, ideally on a distributed or remote team spanning multiple time zones. Observability expertise, especially OpenTelemetry, or experience building fleet management or control-plane systems is strongly preferred. Technically current and able to engage credibly with backend and frontend engineers on architecture and code quality. Comfortable with AI-assisted development tools and remote-first collaboration. Must be located in Germany, Sweden, Spain, Ireland or the United Kingdom.
