Apple Thinner, Nelson Tasman (Working Holiday Visa Holders Welcome)

A B Wood Holdings needs 10 apple thinners for its orchard at Lower Moutere in the Nelson Tasman region of New Zealand, from 9 November to 19 December 2026. You walk the rows removing excess fruitlets by hand, partly from ladders up to 2.5 metres. Hours are 30 to 45 a week at NZD 24 an hour, so earnings are steadier than piece-rate work. The listing states that working holiday visa holders with current New Zealand work rights are welcome to apply, although suitable local applicants will be considered first. No housing is mentioned and only shortlisted applicants are contacted.
