Description

Ghost — the non-profit organisation behind one of the world's most popular open source publishing platforms, used in production by renowned publications like 404 Media, Platformer, and Tangle News as well as tech companies like YCombinator, Cloudflare, and Kickstarter, with $10M+ annual revenue and profitable since year one — is hiring a Staff Product Engineer to work fully remotely from any timezone between UTC−1 and UTC+3. You'll join a small, senior team building and shipping real product to tens of thousands of live sites: defining technical solutions, navigating architectural tradeoffs, and driving projects from inception to completion with a high level of autonomy. The stack is Node.js, React, MySQL, with Knex, Express, and Handlebars throughout. Almost everything you write will ship as open source under the MIT license, meaning your work is yours too — visible and usable by anyone, forever. Ghost offers 4-day work weeks with Fridays off, $140,000–$180,000 salary, a new MacBook Pro, co-working reimbursement, a conference and book budget, worldwide team trips (the last few to the UK, Spain, and Italy), and genuinely generous paid vacation — plus parental leave and annual pay reviews in line with market rates. The only office is the internet.
