Staff Engineer, Backend – Revenue

Zapier — the automation platform that powers more than 7,000 integrations for millions of businesses worldwide, with a mission to make automation work for everyone — is hiring a Staff Engineer to lead backend engineering for the Revenue Zone, working fully remotely from anywhere in the Americas (North, Central, and South America), EMEA, or APAC. The Revenue Zone owns all the infrastructure behind billing, subscriptions, payments, pricing, entitlements, and checkout across everything Zapier ships: self-serve plans, enterprise contracts, and ecosystem offerings. You'll architect and own systems that every dollar of Zapier's revenue flows through, drive technical decision-making on a high-impact backend team, and help define how the Revenue Zone evolves as Zapier's product and pricing surfaces grow in complexity. Zapier is built for async, remote-first collaboration — every engineer uses AI tools actively as a core part of how they build — and the company actively encourages transparency about AI tool usage throughout the hiring process and beyond.
