React Native Developer – Polycentric

Description

FUTO — the Austin-based organization building open-source technologies that fight centralization and return control to users — is hiring a React Native Developer to help launch Polycentric, its open-source distributed social network where users own their identity, data, and reach. Working fully remotely from anywhere in the world (or onsite in Austin, TX, with generous relocation stipend), you'll contribute to the development, architecture, and ongoing maintenance of Polycentric's mobile and web applications, design and implement new features in collaboration with a distributed team, participate in technical discussions and shape frontend architecture, and engage with the open-source community building around Polycentric. Polycentric's core features include self-sovereign cryptographic identity, community-centric topic feeds, censorship-resistant publishing, and cross-platform identity linking. 3+ years of React Native in production, proven ability to work autonomously in a remote async team, solid understanding of modern application architecture and state management, and interest in decentralized systems are required.
