Principal Solutions Architect – Connectivity (EMEA)

Description

Solo.io — the $1B VC-backed company behind the Gloo Platform for API and service mesh management, trusted by some of the world's largest enterprises, with deep expertise in Kubernetes, Istio, Envoy, eBPF, and agentic AI infrastructure — is hiring a Principal Solutions Architect for Connectivity across EMEA, working fully remotely from the UK, Spain, Germany, Slovakia, Slovenia, or Hungary. As a Connectivity Solutions Architect, you will be the primary technical partner for a small portfolio of strategic EMEA accounts as they deploy and scale Solo.io's connectivity stack in production: designing and delivering migrations, feature adoption projects, and architectural solutions whose scope is larger than standard support — the complex, multi-team challenges that define successful enterprise deployments. You'll guide customers through best practices for API gateway architecture, service mesh deployments, and traffic management at scale; consult on performance tuning and operational excellence; lead technical issue resolution end-to-end partnering with Engineering; design and deliver enablement workshops; and champion customer feedback into Solo.io's product roadmap. Requires 5+ years in a customer-facing technical role and deep expertise in Kubernetes, service mesh (Istio/Cilium), and API gateways/proxies (Envoy, Gloo Gateway), plus 1+ year hands-on with LLMs or AI infrastructure.
