PR & Communications Associate (Contractor)

Description

CoinMarketCap — the world's most referenced crypto data and information platform — is hiring a PR & Communications Associate on a contractor basis, working fully remotely from anywhere globally (with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Penang, and Taipei). You'll lead media relations and pitching: pitching CMC products, research, and thought leadership to journalists and securing coverage across tier-1 outlets (Bloomberg, CNBC) and crypto-native press (CoinDesk, Decrypt); identifying reactive newsjacking opportunities around market and macro trends; supporting speaking slot pitches and event logistics; managing podcast and TV appearance outreach; drafting and distributing press releases; turning CMC's proprietary market data into pitchable stories and reports; and coordinating coverage tracking and basic KPI reporting. The role requires 1–2 years in PR, comms, journalism, or media and a genuine interest in crypto, Web3, and markets. Comfort tracking news at the pace of a 24/7 market, strong written English, and proactive organisation are essential.
